Aldeneik is a superbe little village situated next to the town of Maaseik.

You can visit the beautiful Romanesque church with the possibility of hiring a guide who can tell you all about the legend of the stones in this particular church as well as the legend of the Roses of Harlindis and Relindis.

The vineyard « Aldeneyck » is in walking distance from our B&B. By far the best white wine of Belgium crowned Pinot Blanc and very much appreciated by the connoisseurs of white wine.

Cycling enthusiasts can plan their hiking carefree; our domaine is located right in the path of the cycling network .

Here tranquility is certainly present.
The surrounding countryside provides ample opportunity to make beautiful walks in a quiet and green area. The paved trails are partially located around a large pond and an artificial beach. There are many good places and quiet benches which in good weather certainly invites you to picnic.

You can go shopping in ‘Maasmechelen Village’, Maastricht (NL), and Aken (D).

Our B&B is in accessible distance for parents who want to stay close to their children staying at the camp Sporta complex.

Not so long ago Maaseik opened a brand new swimming pool, the ‘Aqua Droom’ (Aqua Dream).

For lovers of water sports the Meuse is a great place to be. You can make an appointment and you can book private lessons in skiing, wakeboarding or barefoot.

The main attraction for most visitors is of course on a bright summer day to make a boat trip on the Meuse river .

It is also possible to visit the little white town of Thorn situated within 10km from our B&B.

Aldeneik is situated at 2km from the town of Maaseik.
On the market place in the centre of the town you can find many restaurants and terraces. Along the Meuse there is also the opportunity to eat well, drink well or just enjoy an ice cream.

Maaseik is very well known for museums and exhibitions.

T he museum 'Selbach' opened its doors quite recently giving you the opportunity to admire their large variety of paintings
On the third floor you can visit the museum of dolls. Moreover, you can visit the Regional Archaeological Museum.

There is also a large exhibition devoted to the brothers Van Eyck, the painters of 'Lam Gods' (Agnus Dei – Lamb God). This museum is located in the ‘Capucijnenkerk’ (church of the Capucines) and you can visit it every Sunday from 2 to 4pm accompanied by a guide (starting from tourism Maaseik).

Would you like to see the biggest treasure of Limburg ? See you then in the treasure room of the ‘Sint-Catharinakerk '(Church of St. Catherine) where you can admire amonst g others the Eyckensis Codex, the oldest gospel book of Benelux.

In the summer the tourist train takes you to all of the historical points of Maaseik.
